Change Your Mind- The Killers |
] |
I've made myself a summer reading list. I am going to try to read all of them by summer's end. This is my list. (If any of the author's names are wrong, please correct me. Thanks)
1. The Rival Queens (Fidelis Morgan) 2. Farewell, My Queen (Chantal Thomas) 3. City of Shadows (Celia Rees) 4. Gulliver's Travels (Jonathon Swift) 5. Catherine de Medici (R.J. Knecht) 6. The Phantom of the Opera (Gaston Leroux) 7. Les Miserables (Victor Hugo) 8. *The Blue Roan Child (Findlay) 9. *The Golden Compass (Pullman) 10. *Wizard's Holiday (Duane) 11. Shade's Children (Garth Nix) 12. Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck) 13. Uncle Tom's Cabin (Harriet Beecher Stowe) 14. A Tale of Two Cities (Charles Dickens) 15. To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee) 16. Moby Dick (Herman Melville) 17. *A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (Betty Smith) 18. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (J.K. Rowling) 19. *The Da Vinci Code (Dan Brown) 20. **Abhorsen (Garth Nix) 21. **Third Harry Potter (Do I really need to write the author's name?)
*Books that I already own but want to read so that I can actually say I've read all the books on my shelf. **Books I own but have previously read, and want to reread.
I kind of went into a "classics" phase from #12-17. I'm trying to read a lot of classics before I have to read them in school because reading them in school the first time just really ruins the whole book.
If anyone has any recommendations, please share! My goal is to read at least 30 books this summer. Any recommendations of classics would be deeply appreciated. Yay.
